The Croatia international has received a proposal from Al-Ettifaq to join the revolution in the Saudi Pro League.
Mundo Deportivo says Al-Ettifaq have offered Rakitic a multi-year offer worth 10m-a-year.
The former Barcelona midfielder is now weighing up whether to accept the move.
The 35 year-old and his family are currently happily settled in Spain.
