The Tennessee Titans bolstered their defensive line Tuesday with a free-agent signing.
According to NFL Network's Jason McCourty, the Titans have agreed to terms with former San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day. Contract details are unknown at this time.
Joseph-Day, who turns 29 on Thursday, started his career with the Los Angeles Rams as a sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the Rams before getting picked up by the crosstown Los Angeles Chargers on a three-year $24 million contract entering the 2022 season.
Joseph-Day played in 14 games last season with the Chargers before being waived late in the season and signing with the 49ers. Between the 49ers and Chargers, he racked up 36 tackles, three sacks, and three tackles for loss.
Last season, Joseph-Day had a 61.0 overall rating on Pro Football Focus, which was 64th among 130 defensive tackles.
The Titans need defensive reinforcements after losing edge defender Denico Autry and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair in free agency to the Houston Texans.
The Titans have signed eight outside free agents and retained five internal players. Here's a list of the moves.
