Kenny Wallace claims 'breath of fresh air' Danica Patrick reminds him of Rusty Wallace

Danica Patrick is one of the most accomplished females racer in NASCAR as well as IndyCar and holds record that might not get broken for a foreseeable amount time. But over the years she has also found herself in a lot of controversies. In her racing days these were about her run-ins on track and post-retirement the noises are often about her bold statements.

Recently ex-NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace, who had interviewed the ex-IndyCar race winner last month, opened up about Danica Patrick being a controversial figure. He pointed out that Wallace is one of the most divisive drivers like most of the drivers of the past. They are either loved or hated by the fans.

He went on to claim that, Patrick reminds him of his brother Rusty Wallace , a fan favourite NASCAR champion who also had some haters. Kenny Wallace also highlighted the nature of Patrick to be not afraid of sharing her political and other opinions on social issues without any hesitation.

Danica Patrick reminds me a lot of great racers. They either love them, or they hate them. I've taken a lot of polls lately, and it seems like it's always 70/30. I think she's a throwback from the past. She reminds me of my brother Rusty Wallace. People are so afraid to talk now, but Danica Patrick is a breath of fresh air. Kenny Wallace is going to Indy 500 this year with big hopes

During an interaction on X, where Kenny Wallace has always been very interactive with the fans, he was asked about potentially going to the Indy 500. The ex-Toyota driver said that he would be going to the event and will also be hoping to see AJ Foyt Racing team in the victory lane.

I am going to the INDY 500 this year. My goal is to see AJ Foyt Racing. Kenny Wallace wrote on X.

Responding to the post, Wallace’s close friend and NASCAR Hall of Fame Dale Earnhardt Jr. urged him to go to the teams’ garage ahead of the race.

Go to their garage and see him there at his car. It’s a surreal moment for a motorsports fan. Dale Jr. wrote on X.

The race will also feature NASCAR’s very own Kyle Larson. He is making his debut with Arrow McLaren and is attempting the historic double duty. It would be interesting to see how he would perform in the race.
